Christmas TV treats for toddlers!

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right place really but did want to share.

If you haven't seen it yet with your little ones, over the last couple of days Nick Junior have been showing the 25 minute feature film, 'Lost and Found', based on the book by Oliver Jeffers. If you haven't seen it with your little ones, it's an absolute must-see! It's a delightful little animated story about a little boy and a penguin, with a gorgeous storyline and lovely words and pictures. I'd never heard of the book before even, but apparently the film won the 2009 BAFTA for the best children's animation and I really can see why! My little boy (3.5) LOVES it and we've watched it for the past two nights just before bed. It has him absolutely mesmerised and me close to tears!

So I just wanted to give you all the heads-up that it's on again tomorrow morning at 10, followed by both the Peppa Pig Christmas Special and the Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom Christmas Special, so you could record Nick Junior from 10-11am and have some lovely Christmas viewing!

I saw this a few months ago on TV, over a bank holiday weekend or something. I'm 29 and it had me in tears!

Haha isn't it lovely??! I'm 32 and welled up too! Of course my little man just loves the penguin, the 'optocus' (as he calls it!) and the rainstorm!

Haha no defo not. You'll love it! Let me know what you think! Hubby thinks I'm a bit odd going on about it-I even rang my 60 yr old mum to tell her to watch it! Haha. It is very sweet.

My 18 month old loves Nigella and pointing out all the stars and fruits. :-)

My 2-year-old loves the book, but I'd not heard there was an TV animation. I'll have to look out for that. Not paying for Nickelodeon though!

Thanks for that! I was thinking yesterday that I ought to buy TV guides because we don't watch enough TV to find out what's going to be on.

I still have the snowman that I recorded last christmas

We have an Oliver Jeffers book called 'the way back home' which someone gave my boy for his 4th birthday and it's really lovely.
