30gb ipod on ebay merged thread

Would I be right in thinking this is possibly too good to be true?
30gb ipod
The seller has 22 of them he/she is selling, one is B.I.N. for £165, some are £10 postage and some are £15 postage. They have all started at 1p, and there is at least 2 hrs between the submission of one and the next.
If this isn't a scam or whatever, I would seriously consider buying one, but wanted to check it out to see what others thought.

He does offer collection in person, which a scammer who was trying to just get your money wouldn't offer.... and he has sold other high priced items (laptops)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Yeah, I just noticed that too
Have put in a bid after seeing that.Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative0 -
oh, and my other point is that scammers tend to use BIN, as an auction takes too damn long to accrue money. as this is an auction I have little reason to suspect dodgyness at this time. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

If this doesn't work out, the apple store currently has refurbished ipods at reasonable prices. Wherever you get one from, I strongly suggest getting the extended warranty - as a family with 4 ipods, the only one that has never had a problem is my DH's 1st gen one. Note - even if you buy a new one, the normal apple procedure if you have a service problem is to swap out the unit, so you end up with a refurbished unit anyway.

Apple are my bad books at the moment

The 5g ipods hiss if you use headphones that are half decent... and I have £140 earphones
(The ipod mini did NOT hiss)
I heard that some people were getting ones that didn't hiss when they exchanged - I persuaded them to change mine and the new one also hissed
And the new remote.... gah! Shoddy product design! The contacts only run down one inner edge of the headphone socket... so if your headphone cable moves slightly, you lose half the sound!!
As soon as I find who, I'm going to write to some big-wig at Apple and have a good old whinge at them!My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
So glad I went for an iRiver.
According to my supplier thay are far more reliable than Ipods.0 -
All looks ok but there is no security from paypal, I would email the seller and ask him if I added an extra £4 could I pay through paypal and make sure pp payment was through my visa. Although personally I would not only buy from reputable firm for such an expensive item.0

The prices are good because a lot of buyers won't even see the auction as he doesn't take paypal. I search only for paypal accepted auctions, as do a lot of people.
FOr me it's no paypal equals no purchase, I don't trust anyone enough to send them a cheque for that sort of money.

Argh, I'm so annoyed - all the ipods this person has finishing soon have all been bid on by the same person for the same price of £155.06 - very recently joined buyer too. I hate people who do that, because it isn't fair on the people who actually want them for a fairly cheap price.Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative0

don't take me wrong, but the picture shows him holding the item with one hand, looks like a thin bit of card to me with a photo of the ipod on it, not quite whats being advertised.
Just my thoughts, why did he not take a proper picture of it.
p.s. - he wouldn't confirm to me what as for sale when i asked a question, just saying whats in the pictureDebt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007
