Thanks guys. The problem is I appreciate it isnt like system recovery (which hasnt worked on VISTA) but the fact is IT IS getting bigger - LOL. As I tried to explain I think I believed I could back up my docs using it to a cd and I have inadvertently copied whatever was on that drive several times. It now has very little space on it. So I thought I could delete some of the sets which are copies and it wouldnt be a problem.
I wasnt going to delete the drive, just some of the "sets" of files that are apparently duplicated on it
Ok, still best left alone, the drive itself wont get bigger so wont steal space you use for your files. As mentioned, it wont get bigger unless you make it bigger. Just like you have. So just leave it. One mistake and it will have been more trouble than its worth. If its not broken, dont fix it!Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
That is what Dell do as a norm - You get an OS reinstall disk and a couple of driver disks, but they really intend you to use the recovery partition, as the OS reinstall route is not as straightforward.I got a dell had the recovery partitian, but going through my Discs that come with it I have a full version of Vista.
