be aware that if you have a tesco credit card and it's coming up for renewal it will be automically requested, but will also cancel out your existing card at the same time, so you will find yourself without your card for 2-3 weeks until you recieve your new one. I had this problem today, and apparently this is not the fault of RBS who have always looked after all the admin in the past, but now Tesco are doing it themselves and this is the way they operate. I have been left without a card to use, and it's christmas shopping time. Ridiculous. The manager of the credit card department at RBS where payments are sent is unable to overide the system that has been set up. They also call themselves Tesco Bank now, does that tell us anything???? incompetant??, there's a surprise

The call themselves Tesco Bank now because they now have a banking licence.

Tesco's are only losing profit for themselves, so are shooting themselves in the foot.

Since they receive between 1.7% and 3% of every pound spent using the credit card, they are losing out by your not using it. As well as losing your support as a customer.

I very much doubt it will take 2-3 weeks for Tesco to send out the replacement card once made.

Could it be possible that your replacement card is delayed in the post and the time period to automatically cancel your existing card has ended?
