Moorgate Retail Park in Bury Lancashire.
PARKING CHARGE NOTIFICATION,from 31 Oct this year I parked on Moorgate Retail Park Bury Lancashire, I went into Halfords (for which I still have the receipt) time 11:33am - when I got back to my car it had a ticket on the screen time 11:28am. I did not walk off the car park and visit any other shops. The car park ticket man was still on the car park, I approached him and he apologised and said his mate (no one else was there) had put the ticket on the wrong car he then took the ticket from me and screwed it up. I asked him to make sure it was cancelled on his hand held machine and asked to see it cancelled on that machine, it displayed `my Vehicle reg and cancelled wrong car`. The letter I have received states that if I dont pay the fine in 7 days it may result in an increase to £135. I dont know the original fine, as the attendant took it from me. After visiting another website this is a SCAM so What ticket

I hope that you will follow the advice of the many wise folk on this and other consumer forums. Ignore the scammers. Please do not call their charges 'fines'. You are not guilty of an offence and private companies cannot impose fines. These people feeed off fear and ignorance. Expect threatening letters, ignore these as well. If you need help, there are many people on this forum who can be trusted to give excellent advice.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0
