Sagem F@st 2504 router and o2 broadband?

Hi, just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to use the sagem f@st 2504 router with o2 broadband?

I did have sky broadband which i thought was great. I then changed to o2 broadband and their router has terrible signal around my house. I was wondering if it was possible to use my old router instead?

If not, could anyone recommend a suitable router for use with o2 broadband?

Thanks

You can use any ADSL modem/router with your O2 broadband, however O2 will only offer tech support for their own box (Thomson).
Have you tried changing the wireless channel before you change the router?

Edit: sorry, I've just realised that this is probably a Sky supplied router? In which case the firmware may be locked to the Sky settings. They can be flashed to unlock them but unless you know how to DIY it's not worth the trouble.

I've actually been a bit of whizz of late and i've managed to flash a new firmware to the f@st 2504 router. However, i've now given up, after hours of searching and time wasting, changing settings and generally not getting anywhere, i've decided that i'll just buy a new router.

Thank you for taking the time out to post, its very much appreciated!

You may have exactly the same problems connecting with another new router, if you have not entered all of the required settings correctly. Remember that the O2 router is 'plug&go' so nothing to configure.

Did you try your original O2 box on a different wireless channel as suggested?

Yes i tried swapping channel but that made no difference. I'm going to purchase a new router or try the Homeplugs instead. Hopefully they can resolve the issue.

Thanks for your help guys!
