sky+ stuck on standby

Help needed again guys, my sky+ box is stuck in standby.
have unplugged it and plugged it in again, also tried the off at switch and hold arrows down while switching back on trick.
Any ideas? if not any suggestions where to get cheap one today (gonna miss
X factor otherwise)

Oh yes, that was the first step0

The PSU has failed,nothing you can do except:
Call Sky & book a service call to replace the box (reco box with 3 month warrenty)
or
Try & get it repaired,some companies will do it (ie sat cure)
or
Try & pick one up on Flea Bay/car boot sale.0
