Hi,
I recently bought several items from BHS, one of them was a small brooch.
After getting home I left the bags in wardrobe for a few days as they were all for Christmas presents. Today, when I go to wrap them I notice that the brooch I bought and is listed on receipt, isn't in the bag... It couldn't have fallen out as no holes in bag. I don't think the assistant put it in after scanning it as I was buying quite a few things.
Any advice how to approach this? Would they believe that I don't have it? So dissapointed as it was for my mum.

I would go in and ask, maybe write to H/O and be very polite. They may take pity and fulfil your claim but I'm not sure. After that there's not much else you can do.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Ring the shop as it is possible that they realised the error after you left the shop and then put the brooch behind the till pending a claim for it.0

When I worked in a high st store, if a customer left an item at the checkout it was written down in a book kept at cs desk. We wrote the item date till no and time. The only time this didn't happen if the next customer spotted it and put it in their bag with their own purchases.
I would give them a call.
