Income support, moving house

Hi there,
I wondered if anyone could advise me, I currently live in Glasgow. My partner left me early this year and I am now a stay at home mother with 3 children. I live in a housing association house with them and am on income support.
I come from the south, and am desperately looking to move back down to the area. Ive heard all about Local housing allowance that i could get to help with the cost of private rental, until i can get a job down there, but im looking for some advice on if there is any help available for deposit for a rental, and removal costs, or if this is something i am going to need to gradually save for?
Thank you

You could apply for a Budgeting Loan, see here-

You would be better off trying to get an HA transfer rather than risking the insecurities of the private sector. I'd at least try this first.0

I've seen Crisis Loans being awarded to help with rent in advance, although they wouldn't cover the deposit unfortunately. There might be schemes available "down South" to help with the deposit, you'd best check with the Council in that area to establish whether there are any charitable groups there which could help with deposits.
As Oldernotwiser suggests, you'd be well advised to see if you could get a HA transfer.0
