HSBC Free Credit Report?

Didn't HSBC used to give you a free credit report with the current account advance? Does anybody know how to claim it?

I'm a bit confused as HSBC split their basic current account into 'current account' and 'current account advance' or something and if you had an advance you got a free credit report - but on the current account page of the website there is no longer this distinction in their basic current accounts?

You sure this 'current account advance' doesn't come with a fee?

I believe HSBC now just call their free current account their 'Bank Account'.

    This page mentions
'Sleep easy knowing you're supported by Identity Theft Assistance, which includes one free online credit report per year'
    including an link..

Nah, thats the 'HSBC Plus', which is £13 a month for some cheapo freebees.

The originally split the accounts quite recently so that customers paying in over £800 (i think) a month could have a current account advance and those paying in less just had a current accounts. They made such a big song and dance of it it's strange they've quietly got rid of it.
