Thanks SKThink you're the only poster I recognise from the Boots thread...where did they all disappear to!

you're right many stamps are at least a fiver though i often see them going for more than that. i took advantage of some of those myself! i only have a few ink pads but if you're quick doing it you can use felt tip markers to colour the various parts of the stamps and do a muli coloured version... i have an 8 year old in the house so i have no shortage of felt tips!
You know what...being the non-crafty sister I didn't think of ink pads  have to hope she already has some, sure she will have though. I am really looking forward to seeing this package 'cos I have no idea what half of it is!! :rotfl: Ordered some A4 vellum somethings that I remember her picking up once at a big craft shop...what do they do?
Oh and being a nosey so-and-so I just had to google 'Altered books' and some of them are really stunning...had never heard of them before.0 -
Thanks so much for this, just ordered all the stuff for making my own wedding cards, came to £26 AND that is giving myself lots and lots of options for trying out different styles to see what I like. If they come off okay I should have saved us about £210 based on what we were quoted to have them made!!!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -

they also have a 50p section and a 1quid section. if you're a new customer at first they offer you 5% discount to sign up for their newsletter but if you scroll down after signing up you get a 10% discount if you order by midnight tonight!
Many thanks for letting us know, I love to do some card making/scrapbooking and thanks to you, I will be on a spending spree next week :j (when I say spending spreee, I dont mean that literally cause it wont burn a hole in my purse lol)0 -

i used to do altered books about 6 years ago, i really miss them and now my daughter is old enough i think i'm going to try and get her involved in doing them too. with mad about cards and the really good selection at the local poundmart we can actually afford to do them again!
i was so proud, she bought 2 really nice wee things from the crafts section today with her own pocket money! just wait til she sees whats in the parcel from MAC!
as for the vellum, i vaguely remember, i know vellumn technically is parchment made from i believe goats skin but i believe in crafts it has to do with special paper...like i said it's been a long time!0 -
