Fitted washer/drier plinth

I have been fitting my own kitchen. I have yet to put the plinths on but at the bottom of the machine there is a screw topped fluff collector. Which i would need to be able to get access too.
Just wondered what was the normal way of fitting. Would i run the plinths either side and make that one removable. Or would i do one long length and have to remove that?
Nobody i know has built in appliances.

Whether you have a short length, the width of the machine, or a long one really depends on the possible length of a long one. Would it be too difficult to manage?
It would look neater though.
Does the machine go back far enough to get a plinth across the front? Mine doesn't, so just have a plinth up to each side.
Not much help that, is it?
I guess the real answer is "you decide".0 -
A long one would look neater. Okinths normally clip on with 'plinth clips' which are attached to teh back of the plinth and clip onto the legs of the units. Quite easy to pop off when needed.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Hi Lagi
Normally when fitting the plinths in front of integrated laundry and dishwashers you would need to cut a notch out of the top of the plinth the width of the appliance to allow access for the filter on washers and for the door to open fully on dishwashers.

I have no idea how ofter you empty the filter and a longer one would look better. May go for that then. It won't make sense until i can find some hinges for the washer/drier then i can see exactly where the door will sit.0
