    Just as an aside, which may be relevent to the OP as the opening post is a little unclear, but a S2 can only be used if the LL is a corporate body, not just that that the LL's address is that of a corporate body where the LL conducts his business / owns but the actual LL is an individual.

    My view is that if a LL's main occupation is a supermarket shelf stacker then S1 can be correctly complied with by providing the address of the supermarket in which he works. I can not find another interpretation of S38 of the 1985 LL and T act - but I would like to hear anyone else's opinion.

    Interesting view but I would argue that S38 of the statute speicfically uses the phrase "place of business" not "place of employment", which suggests that merely being an employee would not be sufficient.
