  • I know its too late now, but I think these pay day companies are dreadfull they lend to people who cannot get finance else where then take the hard line when they don't pay. They are just legal loan sharks and should be made illigal by the government.

I would not recommend anybody to use these companies under any circumstances because once they get a grip of you they levy that much interest that you have to keep going back for more. Eventually you will reach breaking point.
  • well what i have learned from the last few posts is of all the cities in England I moved to, it is the one that QQ use for their post!! How strange. Maybe that is why they are all so nice - they are not super efficient Americans at the end of the chat, they are just from South Yorkshire!

Sorry to hear they won't accept anything. I had the same today with payday uk. emailed them asking if I could freeze and pay a bit off every month. Emailed back to remind me if I pay off in full, I can borrow more. Very responsible. Asked them again. They said no. No reason. Said they will have to try for payment on pay day and they will contact me if they can't collect. Then useless general stuff including "do you know we work with credit reference agencies?"

    :(:(

I know this is going to sound obvious to most of you, but don't do what I did and try to do the above because it would be handy to have a bit more money every month, or just because you begrudge paying them money down the drain. After the above, they advised my full £300 was due this month. I kept emailing asking if my deferrrals had ran out and they never replied. I didn't want to not honour the payment as they are about the only company I am not in a mess with. Once it came out I emailed asking if I could borrow again. They said to ring them. While on hold it clicked with me. I asked them and they confirmed their underwriters won't lend me any more money due to the above. I advised that I was just trying to sort out my finances, my incoming and outgoings were still the same as when I originically borrowed, my bf now has a job etc........they suggested my bf apply then said they would put me through to a "more lenient" company......while on hold to them I had plenty of time to have a think, decided this would teach me a lesson, I wanted a money saving Xmas anyway, and with £300 down I will truly appreciate the meaning of the word skint, when I usually just borrow to subsidise a lifestyle I obviously can't afford, for now. So thank you Payday Uk and Merry Xmas:rotfl:
