Cous Cous

Options
Hello all,

I have a question re. left over cous cous.

I made up a 400g packet last night (Sammy's was the brand), it was cous cous with veggies in.

However the whole packet is too much for just the two of us. So instead of chucking the rest away, I've put the remaining in the fridge. These enough for a further meal for both of us.

Will it be okay if I use it tonight? Do I need to re-heat it and will it be okay if I do this, and how do I re-heat it?

Sorry - abit of a wuzz on food safety and a carp cook to boot :rotfl:

I'd just eat it cold :) Cous cous salad is a firm favourite here and it'll keep fien in the fridge for a few days :)

I like to add some cherry tomatos, cucumber, mushrooms and roasted chicken or bacon pieces to ours :) And on the rare occasions I have left over cous cous I take it to work for lunch :) Yummy!

It's summer! Go mediterranean style and serve like a salad! Direct from the fridge, with some fresh cucumber cubes and a pinch of pepper (although that last may be too much if it's already seasoned), and you'll love it. Of course it'll be ok today. Cous-cous makes a good pre-cooked dish of the type you can prepare the day before. Try adding cherry tomatoes as well, olives, diced zucchini and/or roasted pepper. Enjoy!

    :T Thanks,

We always have various salad bits and pieces in the fridge. As a matter of fact we had the cous cous with chicken legs and salad last night.

I have the other chicken leg in my lunch box today with salad and OH has the other one in a cob with Mayo.

Looks like I've already answered my own question :D
