Cleaning the Oven

What do you guys suggest for cleaning out the oven??

I am currently using some Mr Muscle Foam stuff, but it usually takes 3 days to get it all cleaned.

What about using a steam cleaner? Any good?

Cheers.

only one will do .... oven Pride , orange/blue box
Comes with gloves and a huge plastic bag
Put shelves in bag with some of the liquid. place in garden
Turn  a couple of times , in a few hours.

Vey few fumes .....and it works.
  • I second that, it definitely works. It's not a bad price in wilkinsons.

It does work, I think it is brilliant but please be careful. Last time I used it the dog went to sleep by the cooker and a bit dripped out from under the oven door. My son spotted the large bald patch and red skin on the dogs back. I put her in the bath and washed it all off and rushed her to vet. She has recovered but it cost me over £80, I can't remember exactly how much. I could have paid someone to come in and do it for me. The oven needs cleaning again and I have bought some Oven Pride but I am scared to use it.

Agree but found it better to brush on the gel with an old paintbrush rather than just put it in the bag.
  • I just turn it on, down in a few hours and cost about 20p

Not Moneysaving, but timesaving & might help someone who can't (rather than doesn't want to) there are some franchise companies, where they come & clean it for you.

Noit recommending anyone, 'cos none I know that do it well/cheap.

    Goole will find some.
