So you believe that only 6 items are absolutely nothing to worry about?

No, I am not saying they were nothing to worry about but I was thinking that this number. was not a lot and that the machine was relatively 'clean' and they shouldn't be the cause of the comp. slowing down.

Download, install, update and then scan with Spybot Search & Destroy (link) - when installing, do not install Tea Timer, when asked for additional tasks!

Well contrary to what you believe, 'MYWEBSEARCH' is well known to slow computers down (To a crawl if it really infects)

Ok, I did say that I am not very technically minded and I wouldn't have asked for help if I knew that much about malware. I just said what I was thinking at the time. As you say that 'mywebsearch' is known to slow things down, I will see how the old machine goes as the evening wears on as its always seems ok when 1st switched on then it slows down after its been on a while.
