Ie 8 problem

I am having problems with the MSE site when I use IE8. This has only just started and I cannot figure it out. I can get on the forum for a while but then the pages stop loading. I have deleted all my browsing history, cookies etc but it still will not load. Then when I log on the nest day everything seems fine until it starts all over again. I have run virus checks (nod32) and run superantispyware but to no avail. All other sites are fine. I am using google chrome to post this and everything seems fine, it has really got me stumped.

Sounds familiar. There are lots of poeple reporting this type of problem on other tech forums about IE8. Seems that the problem stems from when you upgrade from IE7.
Did you upragde from IE7 or was it a clean install?

I also had similar problems with IE8 where for no apparent reason, I could not open links on websites. I contacted MS tech support, spoke to 2 different guys from India and after taking remote control of my PC to run some diagnostics could not solve the problem. I lost complete confidence in their ability, and decided to roll back to IE7. I now have no such problem; however, I have since downloaded Firefox, and I am very happy with this. A vast improvement over IE. Strongly suggest you download Firefox - I don't think you'll be disappointed!!
