oooh a yogurt party what a fab idea ,love it :)
  • I make the more set jellies, buy mixing the homemade yoghurt with a jelly (tesco 12p) dissolved in 4fl oz of boiling water. You can also buy different yoghurts for different flavours.
Or swizzle them into thinking they've got shop bought!

I've been making yoghurt for about a year, we go through litres (yes litres) every week. Until recently, DD2 refused to use it ... and went out an actually bought her own muller fruit corners.

However, using yoghurt in savoury dishes has helped to convert her and our consumption rate is rising. I taught her how to make a cheesy yoghurt dip and she now makes up her own and pours it over couscous.

    I also use yoghurt:

    swirled in soups
stirred into the last stage of the curry & goulash meals etc
as dressings over salads, potatoe wedges, jacket potatoes etc
as part of a banana smoothie (whizz yoghurt, banana & vanilla essence together)
as a sauce for pouring over salmon in parcels in the oven (e.g. cream cheese/yoghurt mix and some herbs)
as part of our breakfast / oats mix
and of course we use it instead of cream over fruit

Perhaps you could try using it in different ways and bring them round to drinking it neat? My OH won't have shop bought yoghurt any more and likes to lick the spoon after I've used any my HM yoghurt in cooking.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • How do you make your cheesy yoghurt dip apple_mint please?
