I'm rather cheesed of she says clenching her teeth.
We have 3 children and spend a fortune on yoghurts and drinking youghurts, so I'll make my own methinks.
So I got all the equipment and last night made my first bacth of drinking yoghurt, only to be meet with negativity and refusal to accept that it good be as good as shop brought. The children wouldn't even try it and my OH says it won't work and that it is a gimick/fad and will be more trouble than it is worth. Says that our middle child likes the pots of stuff and this won't be easy, at the moment he can drink a yoghurt with a straw and be quite independent.
I've told my OH that I'm not happy about the lack of support and that I want things to change.
Just needed a moan also any ideas how I get them on board with this. I tried it and it was very nice, don't see what the problem is myself
Thanks
DG

Keep going - if you look you will find plenty of stories about people that had to work to change their families minds - the way most men are concerted is by price comparisons - use every trick you can0

Sometimes you have to trick them lol.
Buy more pots of yogurt then when they've eaten them, wash the pots and put your homemade in then offer it to them
Leave it a few weeks before you confessBulletproof0 -
Yes thats a good idea - good luck in this quest - its a tricky one - been there too.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

When they run out of shop brought yogurt don't buy anymore then they will have to try yours.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

Yep, in this situation dishonesty is the best policy! I will admit to decanting cheaper squash into big-brand bottles, sliding aldi weetabix inner packaging into proper weetabix boxes, and going to great lengths to make my own cookies look EXACTLY like the 5-for-£1 ones in Asda!! All with success, but most of my scams get found out by DS2 (inspector morse/sherlock holmes hybrid). If you make your yoghurts almost as sweet as the shop-bought to start with, then gradually cut down on the sugar over a few weeks perhaps they won't notice?
One of the things I dislike about a lot of ready made stuff is the amount of sugar and sweeteners in them, but kids seem to become hooked on it. Cutting down on sugar & additives is one of my main incentives for making my own stuff, but conversely exactly what my kids seem to like about the mass-produced versions!0 -
Can't really add anymore, just to say best wishes.
Make a note of how much money you've saved doing it this way, then ask if they can give you a reason why saving money isn't a good idea0 -
I agree dishonesty is teh best policy in this case or you couldtry gettin the kids involved i.e in the flavouring. My daughter will try thing as long as she has had a hand in making it.GC: £400/ £00

Why not get them involved in the process of making it?The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

I agree with tiptoes, get the kids involved in making it, it's almost a science experiment in itself anyway. My DD is a very fussy eater but she will eat anything that she has had a hand in making.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
