Notebook In New Year

I'm going to buy/treat myself a new notebook, but like any reputable money saver I'm waiting until after Christmas with the expectations that prices will drop. I'll not be looking credit - free or otherwise.
Anyway I've two notebooks in mind, both of which are Which? Best Buys. There is the
Samsung Q320, the best price I can find comes from Laskys at £666.97 or the
Acer Aspire 7735Z coming in at around the £415 mark
Now my question is this what kind of discount should I expect to find come the New Year and are there any sites in particular that you would recommend watching.
I've had a quick look at ebay and see that the Samsung is bidding at £450 but still with 4 days to go, the Acer is more or less what you'd pay for it normally. So there could be a saving there. But I have to say I'm reluctant to buy a item such as this from the likes of ebay purely and simply because if I discovered a fault in the machine, say after a few weeks, I'm not sure how I'd fair out re exchange or money back. Should you buy items like these from ebay, I'm not to sure.
Anyway glad to hear your comments

just picked up on the radio that every man, woman and child in the country is £40,000 in debt thanks to the bank and guess what they are still looking their bonuses, makes you really very

Don't expect prices to drop drastically in the new year - remember VAT is increasing by at least 2.5%.
Try doing a 'completed listings' search on eBay (instead of a regular search) to get a more accurate idea of prices.
Wouldn't worry about buying off eBay - as long as you pay with PayPal, you have up to 45 days to raise a dispute if anything goes wrong. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

This one. With particular reference to the exchange rate between the Pound Sterling and the South Korean Won.
Unless you believe that the triumph of Gordon Brown's handling of the British economy over the last decade, the results of which you have already identified, are about to achieve a sudden, spectacular and implausibly miraculous reversal.
Plus, there's the VAT rise to come, in 27 days time.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Acer 7735G is better.0 -
I bought the 7735G from that link a couple of weeks ago - do a BIOS update and install Win 7 and its excellent.
Was an opened box, but as far as I can tell unmarked, and unused?0
