Im looking for a TV that has a built in PVR and Freeview. I am aware of the LG 32LT75 LCD TV with Freeview Playback PVR. Unfortunately you can only watch one channel whilst recording it.
Does anyone know if one exists that has a twin tuner?

According to the spec it has twin tuners:Twin Digital Freeview Tuners enable you to record 1 digital program whilst watching another simultaneously:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thank you, I wasn't sure about that. Do you know if there are any others as the TV doesn't have the best sound from what I have read0

all lcd tvs when i was looking around have stereo throwing it around in one form or another so i bought a seperate 5.1 home cinema system which handy for dvds tv etc makes all the differance but will add on about £300 on top my old crt had 5,1 built in0

That's the first and only TV I've heard of with a PVR built in, and I've always wondered why there aren't more. People do like one-box solutions. So if that's what you really want, you might be stuck with the sound. See if you can find out what the reviewers were comparing with - if it was other flatscreens, ok, but if it was CRT, then sort of ignore it. Flatscreens have awful sound compared to CRTs because there's no room for decent speakers. It's quite a comedown. If you were serious about sound from your TV you'd have it connected to your hifi/home cinema by now anyway...0

The advantages of a seperate PVR are:
1) If it breaks (and they do ...) it it is integral, you are 'stuffed'. If it external, you can just replace it.
2) With an external PVR, you can record 2 channels, and watch a THIRD live.
3) You can upgrade and external as technology improves (HD Freeview one day, etc)
4) You can move an external box elsewhere if you wish - not so for integral.
My money is always on seperate items like this - it give more flexilbility, and it allows you to choose the equipment and features you want.0 -
The last LG tv with a PVR we stocked at work was so unreliable, we stopped selling them after about 2 weeks. LG are a brand i'd avoid like the plague, because they always look good on paper and are cheaper than more competent brands, but there's always a catch with them, somwhere.0
