There's a article on mse basically saying you pay £21 for broadband, telephone line and free phone calls up to 70 mins per call. Actual price when you add connection fee of £29.99 is £22.62. (£30/18 months (period you're tied in for)= £1.66 per month). Is this really the cheapest (probaly yes) and have talktalk indicated whatsoever they will increase prices - £70 if you leave during tie in period. Considering changing over but don't want to get caught out. Do they just give you a box (modem) which just plugs into phone line? Do you have to leave computer on all the time with broadband if so electricity charges need to be taken into consideration.

Talk talk is a great deal when you consider that BT charge you £11 for line rental, plus calls, plus around £15 for their basic broadband package.
True if you are planning to move within 18 months it could be more expensive than your current setup given the exit fee.
If you don't already have broadband, they provide you with a 'splitter' that goes in your current phone socket and a modem that plugs into your computer.
Although you can stay connected to the net all the time, you don't have to and can switch off your computer - so no electricity worries.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
