savings account query

Hi all
does anyone know if . . . . when you set up a saving account, if this shows up on your credit report???

    Nope, it doesn't.

    Only accounts that have some sort of borrowing facility will show up.

    If you're opening it with a bank that you haven't used before, then they may check your identity using the electoral role and your credit report. This will leave a marker on your credit report, but only you can see it. No other bank will ever see this, so it doesn't affect you in any way.
