http://www.imgburn.com/
Thanks downloaded and done my first DVD.
I have copied over the whole of My docs which is 3.4GB 75 folders and 1945 files.
Yet when I look at properties on the burned DVD it says 3GB 59 folders and 1559 files.
HELP does the Imgburn do something of which I am not aware?0 -

Ive NEVER encountered anything like that before. Are you absolutely sure you copied EVERYTHING over?:idea:0 -
You need to set up DLA (Drive Letter access) so your pc sees the drive as just an expansion disk and not a DVD player.
Literally drag and drop files over then, just like a disk.
You need a driver for it... just perform a few searches, but most DELL pc's come with it, if not preinstalled then it will be on one of the disks.
Right click the drive - hit properties...and hopefully a DLA option already there.0 -

Will it be anything to do with hiden files?
If you click the CALCULATOR icon before burning it will show you the exact size of whatever is selected:idea:0 -

That's exactly what it will be.
When yo click the main Write Folders to Disk icon, and the next window opens, click the options tab, and you can select Hidden Files and System Files - both are off by default.0 -
A big thanks to you guys for sticking with me and yes it was the hidden and sytem files. Being paranoid I have been through a few folders and all there and exactly the same on DVD and PC 3.4 GB.
