Your Bank Declined Your Electronic Funds Transfer

I received 3 emails this morning saying 'your bank declined your electronic funds transfer' this was relating to 3 different items that I purchased. Instead of taking the money by instant bank transfer it has taken it from my debit card. However, it says the bank account has been removed but it's still there and I paid for something yesterday and it has taken the money via instant bank transfer and the status says 'completed' I'm really

At first I thought they were fake emails but it contains my full name and I also logged into my account and what was said in the emails does reflect what is showing in my PayPal account.

Could it be the bank thinks it's a fraudulent transaction so stopped the payments?
We had this with our CC a little while ago. I bought several items and instead of paying for them as I won them (from ebay) I decided to use the new feature that let you pay for all the items at once.
The CC thought it was a fraudulent use of our card as all 7 payments went off our card in the same second so they stopped the card without letting us know.
We only found out when I tried to use it again later that evening and hubby had to call them up and get a new one sent.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
• Maybe you're right because I did pay for all 3 items together.

• I have had exactly the same email this week - twice - both email proformas were incomplete eg 'On the , we attempted to transfer, from your bank account ending in.' Both used my full name.

I checked and the transactions were still showing as 'processing' and my bank account hadn't been removed at all!

I even forwarded the email to spoof@paypal.com but they replied saying to contact customer services.

The transactions came through fine - so I'm not sure what is going on but I'd wait and see what happens, if I were you.

Do you bank with Natwest?

That's exactly the same email that I received. Incomplete as well, which is why I was suspicious.

• No, the Halifax.

The fact the spoof dept didn't say 'yes, it's fake' suggests it is from them but I've no idea what's going on. Neither did my bank when I rang them and the payment came through to my paypal account the next day.

Maybe their system is issuing them in error?
