Sending Flowers or a Plant for Christmas

I wonder if anyone can recommend a good supplier of Christmas plants and Christmas flowers. I want to send a plant to my S-i-L who stays in Aviemore and flowers to friends in France. I was looking at the Telegraph Garden brochure and they do Crocus in a Pot for £15.99 plus p&p and it seems to be supplied by Thompson & Morgan but I have no knowledge of the quality of their products. Also, I assume for the the flower/plant gift I want to send to France, I will have to use Interflora.
Any advice would be much appreciated. In fact, I'll post this on the 'Greenfingered' site also.
