Rip-Off Britain

Has anyone on here watched this pi55 poor excuse of a programme? Its lazy journalism at its best and no better then half the people who post on here saying everything is a bloody rip off just cos its a bit expensive...

Take the old age travel insurance section - why they were making a fuss about an 85 year old being charged more then a 20-50 year was laughable as im not even sure it crossed the producers mind that an 85 year has probably not got long on this earth and would cost a fortune if they pegged abroad and have to be brought back.

I really dont mind the beeb or the license fee but when you see tat like this clogging up your telly on a morning gets royally on me t1ts:mad:

Should cost the same as bringing a 20 year old back.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees. But the likelihood of an 85 year old need hospital treatment or dying is far greater than the 20 year old.

Yeah the programme was crap just skated over the issues raised.
Ps should be cheaper for the older person to be brought back they should be lighter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Lol. That's why I didn't watch it. If I want to listen to people complain about how expensive life is, I just come here! :rotfl:

  • What - you mean:

    "omg its a SCAM i tell u!!!!!!"
    "i am DISGHUSTED!!!!!!"
"THIS IS A RIPP OFF!:mad::mad::mad::mad:"
"beware this company buy with them at yur PERIL :money:"
    Etc, etc, etc.........

Personally, bitter experience has taught me that the major proportion of those who use the term "Rip-off Britain" are weapons-grade muppets.

    Shame, really.

I saw the one about the utility companies. A very poor effort. They were concentrating on pre-paid credit meters and interviewed a family who reckoned they were putting nearly £100 into their meter every week. Some of cost could be attributed to having a pre-pay meter, but nobody questioned why the rest of that bill was too high. They didn't examine the family's lifestyle or what appliances they were using. So only half the story.

The opening shot was one of the women standing in front of some guys installing trunk gas mains. She pointed to them saying "the utility companies are spending millions renewing these gas-mains". Well not quite. That "utility company" was Nation Grid who do not sell gas or electric. They just transport the stuff around for the companies who actually sell gas and electricity to the public. So wrong again.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
