Nobody, as far as I can see, is trying to use these statistics to 'disgrace' the 'Insolvency Industry' (your choice of words - not mine - although it certainly has grown into an 'industry' of late).

Finally, something i can agree with! (Although your attempt to use the word "industry" as if it is some kind of derogatory remark is somewhat churlish - it is and always has been an industry, part of the finance industry, you might have heard of that one! Also what is everyone's problem with industry/work and companies earning money? Am I on a Chinese forum? Or a forum from good old Mother Russia?)

The problem for most of the posters on this thread so far however is that these stats dont seem to point to any actual wrong-doing on the parts of any of the IVA companies - hence BAT rejecting the findings and Fermi going off in search of further statistics: DONT LIKE THOSE RESULTS, BRING ME DIFFERENT ONES!

What the Stats do show (at this stage) is that there is little/no evidence to support mass mis-selling of IVAs.

I would expect the numbers of failures to rise in the near future with the Global Recession hitting home and people losing their jobs or losing out on large proportions of their earnings and (as i said earlier in this thread and over on the other thread in IVA) the numbers of failures does indicate a failing of the industry to react to changing circumstances and so it is up to the IPs, the Creditors and the Law-makers to find some kind of way around this.

And personally the sooner the better!

For the record, you are making yourself look dafter with evry attack on me, as you have jumped to the wrong conclusion i dont hate IVA's, they have there place in insolvancy, and are the only solution in some situations, without loseing everything.

What i do hate is the glossy TV adds and the companies behind them claiming writing of a big chunk of your debt by useing a loophole or little known piece of legislation etc.

I was actually happy to see the failure rate at only 10.9% in 2008, but cautious it may not be so rosey in a few years, we shall all have to wait and see.

Sorry, but how the hell do you know what i wanted to see in those figures?

I am looking at them in a totaly differant light to you, and they dont answer what i really wanted to know, because the stats dont exist yet, I wanted to know how the current climate was affecting failure rates, nothing to do with mis-selling

Why, because i care more about people than figures;)

You're right, that IS a priceless quote... I suppose now you'll be telling me that those successfully completed IVAs would have been better off in 18yr DMPs.

Of course the figures wont be so rosy in a few years time, there's been a global recession... Do you expect IPs to foresee whose circumstances will change in two years time and whose wont!?

THAT IS A LOW DOWN, DIRTY LIE! I did answer, i told you to mind your own business. If it helps you to rest easy at night tho i will tell you that i dont work for a TV ad IVA company. I'm not a fan of then either but neither do i believe in IP Bogeyman... Even the so called factories do a job!

It is in your own intrest, as others have come here, and touted for trade, i would hate for others to tarr you with the same brush.

And before you say it, no there is nothing in your posts to indicate you have,
