Help with a Belkin PC card...I'm stuck

I have just bought a laptop off a friend which doesn't have a wifi card. I originally bought a dongle which worked ok but my lad just broke it so I have just invested in a Belkin PC card. I installed it but I now can't get any wireless networks detected at all. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling byt still doesnt work.
The power light comes on on the card and the device is shown as working correctly.
Can anyone help me out here? I'm running Win XP (Home) Thanks

Try it in anothr card slot. I had a similar issue with a Belkin network card. I switched it to another card slot and it worked.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Have you installed the necessary software for the new card? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I've tried using the software supplied with the card and using windows0

I've tired seperately so not sure what Im missing0

Just guessing, but maybe you need to go into the software to tell the card to which networks you can connect. For instance; IEEE 802.11a/g/n0

Apparently it auto detects the networks across those bands but will have another look again. I dont think the card is faulty though0
