Tax credits and HB

I have been backdated WTC & CTC this week
Will this mean i will have to pay back any HB i have had prior to receiving tax credits?
And i am assuming my HB will now reduce or stop now that I am receiving tax credits?
TIA

Arrears of Tax Credits are classed as capital for HB/CTB and willl be disregarded for 52 weeks before being included in your assessment.
Any ongoing awards however will be inlcluded in your ongoing assessment so will more than likely reduce any ongoing award if your claim is standard and yor not on IS/JSA IB.
The benefits section can check your awards on the computer link up they have so will be able to see what is arrears and what is ongoing as the notification letters dont always make this clear.:j0 -
