social tariffs [atlantic elec and gas]

my mother who is on disability living allowance for life due to having lupus has been on the social tariff with atlantic for the past 2 years, she recently had a letter saying that she would no longer be on this tariff but moved to a more expensive one, she explained that her circumstances were still the same and she was still on disability benefits etc but was told she could no longer be on the social tariff as you were only allowed to be on it for 2 years.
is this true?
has anybody else encountered it?
they just seem to be bullying elderly disabled people as she said he was patronising and arrogant

Switch supplier and go onto their social tariff? Social tariffs are not always the cheapest, have you fed accurate meter readings into a price comparison site?

They seem to have moved to goal post on a lot of the social tarrifs and most seem to be running on a income to fuel %, Is your mum on pension credits? as i know with EDF DLA is not on there required benefits list.

But do look around as we found it was a better deal for my MIL to be on a on_line DD tariff then the social tarrif she was on
