Removing wall tile adhesive

It's the same principle as plastering, won't make any difference which material you use one though is going to be more expensive but if it is a small area and you have the adhesive going spare I don't spose it will make any difference.
But I would use plaster, just have a go. read up on it first or ask a professional how to do it.
You will use a bathroom paint which withstands water better.
What is the surface under the adhesive which you were going to paint? just out of interest.0 -
The surface? It was solid wall. The wall surrounding the window frame. One side of the vertical. So it runs from about half way up the room to the top of the window frame. Not a lot of area really.
I'm gonna do this tomorrow night. That's the plan!

So it was already a finished surface, i.e. painted plaster? In which case wetting it may cause problems.
plastering (or using adhesive) it may be dodgy on the exterior corner, you may find the material is unable to bond and be thin enough on the edge, because it will have to be thinner on the edge other wise it will look cr4p.
But a coat of paint will hide minor faults like this. It should be good enough.0 -
I've used a steam wallpaper remover in the past with great success.0
