Buyers want me to show tenants round

    what if they are using this time to maximise the rental income by playing potential tenants off against each other? you could end up with hordes coming through your door! a new viewer each time someone comes along and offers a few more pounds per month?

    And from their point of view they have no pressure so can be more aggressive with the tenants - once they have exchanged they will be more desparate to get the tenant so might have to compromise on rent.

    At the moment they are in a no-lose situation - are there is nothing that benefits you.

    From your buyers point of view.

    They want to buy your property, they intend letting it out. they would like to show prospective tenants around before completion to avoid an empty property. they did a clever cash-back thingy to maximise their mortgage.

    Blooming cheek if you ask me...my flat being bought by a blt...I wouldn't show potential tennats round personally...not your job to do this

    Charge for viewings and refund on completion.

    Less. What if they get no tenants prior to completion?

    Hi

    Well, bit of an update for you. Tenants were meant to be coming on monday but didn't show up! I tidied the house, delayed having my tea and stopped in for the evening. The buyer came by to apologise for the inconvenience it had caused me and said they wouldn't arrange anymore viewings.

    Think they were a bit embarrassed about pushing it, then the tenant not turning up!

    So, hopefully that will be the end of it.
