Is there anywhere that I can download the updates as seperate files, and then install them from disk, rather than straight from the internet.
I have a PC which used to be connected to the internet, but now used as aa standalone, so I just want to run spyware checks on it without having to move it downstairs to connect to t'internet.
Thanks

For Ad-Aware to perform a manual update. Do as follows:
* Close Ad-Aware.
* Download the latest definition file in a ZIP format and save the file to a temporary location.
* Unzip the contents of the file either with your favorite ZIP utility or the built-in support in Windows to the Ad-Aware installation directory, which usually is “C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-aware SE\”.
* Open Ad-aware.
* Confirm that the latest definition file is installed by checking out the “Initialization Status” in the main program window.

Just in case I am being a bit dim, but if your machine is no longer connected to the internet do you need to have antispyware updated or even running. Sorry if this seems an odd question but I am genuinely perplexed.Gas doc on the loose0

I said in the original post that it used to be connected to the internet. Its never been spyware checked in the years it was connected. I just wanted to check it to see and maybe help it run a bit better.
Hope this makes sense:think:0
