As long as one of you is working more than 16 hours a week you will be entitled to working tax credit as well as child tax credits and child benefit. You may be eligible for local housing allowance and some council tax benefit due to your low wages.
As dmg has said though entitledto will give you a full breakdown.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

Sounds like tax credits and child benefit - not sure about housing or council tax benefit.
I would call tax credits helpline no found on hmrc website (same for child benefit) they will give you an estimate of entitlement and send a claim form they can also send a claim form for child benefit.

ok , thats a good start, my partner thinks that she may be entitled to income support? would she be correct and is it affected by maternity allowence or would it effect MY working tax credit.0

She won't be entitled to income support because of your earnings. The only ways to get income support now, are carer and single parent. (and disabled before ESA came in, before October 2008)Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

you shouldn't need to - a health professional needs to sign the claim form to confirm details are true.0
