!!!!!! - am I stuck with Tiscali?

Hi can anyone help?

I bought my first house in October on my own and was really naive. Thought I wanted the whole package of TV internet and phone so signed up with Tiscali for an 28 month contract. Now I have realised that I dont really watch that much TV and that TalkTalk (who didnt offer TC) was a much better deal as it offers lots more free calls, free 0844 numbers etc.

I understand that Talktalk bought Tiscali and are now about to offer TV themselves in Jan so I feel really cheated. Does anyone know if they are to merge us all together or keep us numpties who signed up to Tiscalis T and C's seperate?

Also what happens if I want to end my contract with Tiscali?

Talk Talk do not offer inclusive/free calls to 0844 numbers and 28 months seems an odd period for a contract,are you sure thats the right term?

I recall reading that Talk Talk were prepared to take over Tiscali Customers that wanted to move to them early subject to a new contract of course. Have you spoken to TT.

Current TV package is 12m contract, your might have been 18m, but I very much doubt it was 28m. Check your T&C's. If you want to terminate early you'll normally have to buy out the contract, which will be the equivalent of what you would have paid until the end of the minimum term anyway-so not a very good idea. But given the TT factor, you should talk to them and see if you can migrate or downgrade.
Why have you been cheated? You signed up in a rush and now you are regretting it, you can't blame your ISP for that if better deals have come along since.
