you don't state which email client you're using. Outlook can have SpamBayes installed with it, Outlook Express could and should be replaced with Thunderbird

If you use Outlook try SPAMBAYES http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/ works like a treat, needs training on half a dozen emails at first, but then works brilliantly. Totally free
