To replace a consumer unit starts at £180 (small flat 2/3 circuits and everything OK, including bonding)
The average price is £270+
Sockets - usually from £20-£35 each if other work done at same time and all other stuff OK.baldly going on...0 -
To add to what baldelectrician says, a lot depends on your location as well. Here in Yorkshire, I typically charge ~£350 for a 3 bed semi assuming I need to do main earth bonding as well and up to 12 circuits, including certification. This would be £400+ inside the M25, easily.
If you get an especially cheap quote then ask yourself, a) are they qualified, b) are they registered/certified c) will I get the paperwork and d) will I be able to get hold of them in future if things go wrong?
Extra sockets £25-35 each if done with other work, £35-40 if done alone (depends on access/position).
