I am writing this for my girlfriend. She moved out of her previous address on the 1st Oct and informed all the utility companies including BT. She then received a final bill from BT for her previous address d,ated 17th Nov for £126.55, in this bill were calls fom the 19th Oct to the 12th Nov totalling £60.34 she wasnt even in the property then as she moved out on the 1st Oct how can this be??? She contacted BT who said to ignore this bill, but guess what on the 1st Dec the £126.55 was taken from her account putting her over her overdraft limit therefore incurring her £35 in charges from halifax. She rang BT again to complain about this and now they are saying they have no record of closure on the account and is therefore liable for the bill, she is very angry about this as she knows she cancelled it, does anyone know if there is anything else she can do? thanks

That's very strange. BT would have needed to close the account to generate the final bill of £126.55
BT should have suspended or cancelled the direct debit while investigating the bill for you. I'm fairly sure the BT company rep will see your thread and reply in due course if they don't I did see some where an email address btcare@bt.com so I'd give that a try too0 -
Hi trackers Trojans
I am sorry that there has been confusion over the BT bill that your girlfriend has recently received. If you could e-mail me your girlfriends account details to btcare@bt.com (Please include your forum username in the subject line of the e-mail)
I will gladly look into the bill that she received and check what this bill is for and will gladly contact your girlfriend to discuss this account and any charges that she has incurred.
