Tesco and wrong information

Hi
We saw a computer advertised on Tesco Direct as a Compaq CQ5223 Phenom 4, etc
but when we looked at the machine once we had set it up is states Athlon 2, etc.
We have relooked at website and it is now advertised as a Athlon 2, but all of our paperwork states it is a Phenom 4
I am not very computer savvy - could this be a case of the two being described under different "titles" but the same computer or are they totally different.
I though that the Phenom was a faster computer and something about cache 3.
If Tesco's have mis described it and sold it as a Phenom do we have any redress
many thanks

A Phenom x4 and Athlon x2 are very much not the same processor.
I suspect they've made a bit of a boo-boo.Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
I would suggest returning it to the store and asking for a refund or exchange for a computer with the correct spec.0

you were missold, an immediate refund or replacement should be fine, and all happen today.

Controlpanel - system will tell you for sure what CPU its got in it?
The procssor ID code should be
Processor Model Number: Athlon II X4 640
Phenom is just the core name not the CPU
Just check double check it as its code name is Athlon II X4
Try installing CPUID first and checking.0 -
You were very definately mis-sold, although it was probably an honest mistake on the write up or a last minute substitution.0
