    wouldnt touch western digital after mine packed up after 5 months....emailed western digital for a replacement (phoning them is a lost cause and expensive!).....and they havent even bothered to respond after 2 weeks!

    best to stick with seagate

    How can you tell if your computer is compatible, ie:

    i have been looking around my computer and

    mb system model vt78363
    bios version 6.00
    processor 1100mhz
    hdd 10g
    windows xp pro
    memory 128mb


    would the aldi hard drive be alright for my computer

    this one from eBuyer is far better, although when you include VAT its £20 more, but if its quality you want! :-/

    there is really !!!!!! all difference between 2 meg cache and 8 meg cache on hard drives

    GET THERE SOON, seems that they have a box of around 10-15 drives per store, no more, i got my two this morning (for me and my brother!)

    Queued up at 8.30 and was second in the queue so had no problem getting mine...well apart from the woman on the till trying to pass me a DVD writer ::)

    Would have bought two if the pennies had of been available, very happy with mine, 80 quid well spent!

    I got mine on friday, and put it into my Sky + box, seems to be working fine. I have two films recorded and 98% free space.
