Hi
I am on NTL and have been having some serious problems getting on to some websites (ie ebay and a few others).
I was told to change my ISP by either going to a different broadband supplier or by changing my ISP code, does anyone know what that is???
I was told it on a tech forum but now cant find it.
I really wanna get back into Ebay, im getting lonely without, lol.

Change your isp.
If they are restricting your usage as you cannot use trusted websites then maybe they're in breach of their terms of service.
You need to be able to get from A to B without having to get to J then H just to get to B.0 -
This maybe worth a shot.
Open Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, Settings, Then Tick, Every Time you visit a page, and also Clear the Cache0 -
If you do consider changing yoru ISP:
Contact NTL.
Ask them for a MAC (Mighration Authorisation Code). They may give it to you straight away, although it usually takes up to 2 busness days for one to be logged onto the system.
Choose your new ISP.
If signing up online (say, in order to take advantage of a cashback bonus), there may be a spare for you to enter your MAC. If not, complete your registration and then phone the ISP to give them the MAC. If signing up over the phone, give them the MAC at this time.
The MAC basically tells the new ISP that you already have broadband, and allows them to facilitate the swapover without the need for yor line to be de-activated and re-activated, which would take up to 14 days. By using the MAC, this period is cut down to as little as five business days.
Sign up to your new ISP and enjoy your liberation!
Emptying the cache may help, as may restarting your router, if you have one, or modem. When emptying the cache, also remember to select the option to delete cookies. This will remove any eronious information that may be stored on your computer courtesy of the website and that may be blocking your access. Also check to see that your internet security settings are not set too high. For internet Explorer:
Click the 'Tools' menu at the top
Select 'Internet Options'
Select the 'Security' tab at the top
Select 'Default level'
Slide the slider to 'Medium' if not already set.
Select 'Apply' and then 'OK'.
Close any browser windows already open and then open Internet Explorer once again.
Hope this helps.
Cheers and take care.
