Econ 7 - Refund Help
Hi All,
Im on Econ 7 but recently noticed that my Time Switch was running 6 Hours out and wasn't coming on until 6am.
I have 2 x Storage Heaters and 1 x Immersion Heater.
Only 1 Storage heater is connected to the Econ 7 Switch. The other Heater and Immersion are on manual timers that Ive set to come on at just after midnight and go off at 6am.
Basically Ive been charged for 1 Heater and the Immersion at daytime rates. (it should be night time rate)
Ive had the Time Switch replaced, I took a meter reading 1 week before it was changed, the day it was changed and then 1 week after it was changed.
Ive worked out that my daytime usage has now basically dropped by 50% and my nightime usage has increased by 50%. (this is as it should be)
Ive given my supplier the readings and they have offered a refund based on the following
They claim the different is 2 units per day so will take off 2 units per day at the day time rate and charge the 2 units at the night rate
This doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, I cannot see how they have come to the conclusion that the difference is 2 units per day ???
On the day the Switch was changed I had used
56 Units - Night Rate (8 Units a day)
51 Units - Day Rate (7.2 units a day)
1 week after the switch was changed I had used
111 Units - Night Rate (15 units a day)
27 Units - Day Rate (3.8 units a day)
Could do with some help getting my head around this..ta
