Lloyds TSB Platinum Mastercard

hi guys

any one applied for the tsb platinum card recently? what are the acceptance rates like?

also do customers of the TSB have pre approved offers online in their IB session just like Barclays.....

i have a current account with them but no offers appearing yet except an option to to apply for an overdraft.

and lastly what agency do they use for:

new credit card applications
exisiting customers requesting a new 1st time overdraft facility.

regards

Not sure whether they are pre approved applications but I opened a LTSB account and within a couple of months paying money in was offered a credit card and loan with them

I had to open a LTSB current account with them when I got a weekend job at one of their callcentres while I was at Uni. As an employee I was automatically accepted for a Platinum card with a credit limit of £3500 (despite the fact that they knew I was a student and as only working 16 hours per week only earning about 6k a year). So in that sense they weren't particularly choosy with me.

Although this was about 3 years ago now and a lot has changed since...
My mortgage costs me a sobering £13.06 A DAY!

That's about 5 pairs of shoes a month i'm missing out on!

You will find that if you already have an account Lloyds will use your internal rating and not search CRA. How long have you had this account.

My partner was accepted for a card with £3500 limit however she has had her Llloyds account for many years, no CRA search. She receives personal offers such as loans. Approved a loan of £10000 and no CRA search either.

    Lloyds use Experian.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

They do send out mailshots with pre-approval as well. I think you might have had to have had a current account with them for a while though.

I got offered the platinum last year with an £8000 limit with no external checks.
