Egg Card Advice Please

in Credit cards
I am currently unemployed and have £5077 on an Egg Credit Card (Not 0%).
I am currently managing to make the minimum payment each month (just) but it's a struggle.
I cannot get another card because I have no job and am not a home owner.
What I wondered was whether or not it was worth my while calling them to advise them of my situation and ask if they can help in any way or whether I should just carry on with the minimum payment until I can get a job.
(I dont have any credit card insurance).
Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can give.

I would say carry on paying if you can. If you ring them and make an arrangement it is going to go on your credit file as this, and will effect your credit rating.0

As you're struggling to meet the minimum payment, I'd also suggest you post on the Debt Free Wannabe board (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=76), with a completed SOA (http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html) to see if anyone can help you reduce your outgoings.Lightbulb moment March 2004 (Debt £55,000) & debt-free as of May 2007 (thanks to CCCS, and a remortgage to clear last £20,000).
Looking to the future!0
