How to pick a desk lock?!

Hi, I have a 3 drawer cabinet that sits next to my desk at work and have managed to lose what appears to be the only key:o

Is there an easy way to pick the lock?? I tried fiddling around with a paper clip - it looks so easy in the films but no joy:rotfl:

Will I have to get the lock drilled out? It's very important cos I locked some biscuits in there the other day;)

There doesn't appear to be a brand or make on the drawers. If i tried to find who supplied it to us might they do replacement or master keys?

Thanks!

If you look closely at the lock there will be a number stamped on it, with this and the make, your stationer will get you a key, your lucky there isn't a cheese sandwich left in there, regards bri

Is it just a standard wooden drawer set? If so just give it a hard pull and it'll open easy enough, the locks are rubbish

It is possible to fiddle it open with two opened paperclips I did mine at work.
    Good luck.

paper clips are too thin & soft. use a bit of fence wire. make a small bend on the end and flatten it out a bit with a hammer.
    works nearly every time.
    Get some gorm.

try a colleagues' key for their set of drawers. in our place all keys are the same which kind of defeats the object!!

If you've got a code, ring a locksmith shop who cuts keys, and he'll cut you one from the code.
