Liquid telecom - security warning

I have set up an account online with Liquid Telecom. They say they'll phone you back to verify your 'registered phone numbers' and complete the registration. No-one called, so I called the 0845 helpline, which is answered in India. The helpline person then called me back, and asked some questions including: "what is your password"! I said I wasn't prepared to give my password over the phone, under any circumstances, as I had used it when setting up the account, registering a credit card etc. I've never been asked to reveal a password before - the first rule of passwords is that they are secret, between me and the system!. I have eventually managed to get the account activated, although I'm still waiting for a PIN to use it from non-registered phones. As soon as my £10 credit is used up, I'll close the account. Now, how do I do that????.............

...yes I know, but I wanted a service to replace my Swiftcall account, which I was perfectly happy with. I need to make international calls from my home phone, mobile, and also any other landline, including payphones, in UK and overseas. Also, occasional UK calls - from that village call box in the middle of Wales, where there's no mobile signal.... they don't all offer that.0

I have attempted to phone Liquid Telecom but both numbers on their website are disconnected. I have emailed them twice but they have not responded. Have they gone out of business?0

I doubt it.
Both the Freephone 0808 number and the 0845 one are working.

You are right. Since LiquidTelecom did not reply to either of my emails I attempted to call them. However, attempts to phone them also failed -- possibly because Sky is blocking calls to their customer services numbers.
I phoned LiquidTelecom from my mobile and that attempt was successful.0
