Hi guys
Last night we had a power cut, computer (Fujitsu Amilo desktop) was turned on at the time of the cut and I forgot to turn it off before the power came back on, all the plugs are in a surge protected extension.
Computer worked fine for about five hours afterwards - played games, used internet, put tracks onto my mp3 player, etc. I then went to bed forgetting to turn the pc off. About an hour later I remembered the computer and went to turn it off, clicking on the mouse and using the keyboard didn't get it to come out of standby, after a few minutes I gave up and turned the pc off by pressing in the on button for a few seconds.
This morning turned computer on as normal and the monitor received no video signal, tried it on analog, tried it on hdmi, tried both again on the second monitor slot and nothing worked. Tried using a different monitor which I know works and that didnt receive a signal either. Turned pc off and on again - didnt work. Asked someone else to try all of the above and they couldnt get it to work either.
Is there anything else I can try before I ring the tech support and end up computerless for ages? Any help appreciated!

so you've tried 2 monitors, 2 cables, and no signal, sounds like either the graphics card has come loose, or its fried.
if the monitors are working, and the cables are working. have you got a laptop and tried using the cable on that to make sure its not the cable.
see if you can borrow someones graphics card for 5 minutes.
or take the side of the pc and take out your graphics card, and then replace. as i said could be loose, but shouldnt have thought so.
when you turn it on does the monitor say NO CABLE SIGNAL or words to that effect.
depending on age of pc, if its new it will probably be a PCI-E card, if its 3+years possible agp, or early PCI-E0
