When should I start thinking about whether to switch?
Hi!
The background is: I bought my first house in the end of August after living with my parents.
I'm currently on an economy 7 tariff with NPower (all electric house) and I'm paying my bills quaterly.
I recieved a bill for my first month as this was the end of their quarter (with actual readings), then I checked my meter and worked out that my seconds month usage was about the same as the first. In my third month (November) I started using the heating and at the end of my fourth month (December) I will be due my first full quarter bill.
Is this enough information to switch with or should I wait to see what my usage is over a longer period? When do people usually start turning off their heating, the end of February? Basically I'm thinking if I can work out how many months per year will be high usage and how many will be low I think I'll be able to work out what my average yearly usage will be.
Any advice would be appreciated.
